ASUS PC Showcase Competition Coverage

ASUS PC Showcase Competition has officially come to an end after one month of intense competition between the top Sim Lim Square retail shops to vie for the title of "Top PC Builder of Sim Lim Square"! VR-Zone is proud to be the official media and organizer for this exciting event!

The main objective for the retail shops is to come out with the best possible set of system configuration that users would want to buy. Next, it is up to them on how they would like to market this "Dream PC" of theirs, so pricing and the marketing strategy of the PC to end users is of utmost importance.

To win this competition, the shops must excel in 5 aspects; Shop Decoration; Creativity and visual impact of ASUS marketing materials; PC Showcase; Price:Performance ratio and Shoppers' Votes. VR-Zone editors will play a part in the judging of the event; especially for the showcase PCs ratings in terms of price:performance ratio.

End users get to participate too via the Shopper’s Lucky Draw :) 2 lucky guys will walk away with a top notch ASUS PG191 LCD monitor which comes with an integrated camera, sub-woofer speakers and touch-sensor panels simply by purchasing any Asus products(except notebooks) and voting for their favorite PC Showcase shops. VR-Zone members can also participate in our forums by voting for your favorite shop and the lucky winner who voted for the ultimate champion will walk away with an ASUS GeForce 7950GT card!

This is the PC from Media Mart which won this round of competition. Good price, good performance, nice feel and neatness won the hearts of the judges.

Chamoxa certainly has the best configuration in this competition. A well thought out configuration using Xeon 3050 and GeForce 8800GTS has pleased many online users and has garnered a total of 300 out of 680 votes!

In order to raise awareness for this event, VR-Zone has taken the liberty of hiring pretty ASUS promoters who stationed themselves outside the participating shops to distribute event flyers and shops' system pricelist to the consumers to help to boost awareness and sales. The great looking ASUS calendar posters certainly helped much in convincing the end-consumers to purchase Asus products. :)
