The NVIDIA 9800GX2 has just hit the shelves and at VR-Zone, we work out the Voltage Modifications before anything else. Here's a little preliminary modifications for those who are flying the soldering iron, and SLIcing up some double patties. Read More >>

imho,
such mod carries a risk of destroying your precious card.
Not to mention voids warranty.
There's a thousand and one way of things going wrong when doing so.

Hence, as per most disclaimer. Do not perform such operation unless your willing to accept that you are voiding warranty and the chance of destroying your comp if anything goes wrong.

Yea so basically you never did the mod have zero proof and nobody else has either.

K thanks.

I'm sorry I didn't have the time to come out with numbers for it, but I've installed the modifications after publishing the article.

The reason is that it is significantly clearer to show a schematic of the installation rather than a shot of the completed modification. This leaves the user to choose his own choice of grounding point and wire routing. If I were to use a photograph, it would be a rather ambiguous guide wouldn't it?

Again, yes. Top clockers who've got their hands on the cards have already modified them prior to my release of this article.

Results vary from card to card depending on silicon quality and cooling.

If they have as many questions as you have, then they should not.

Cheers!

Any finalized mod review/guides? I haven't ever seen this mod actually performed, the pre-lim simply shows the points where the mod could be performed but nothing finished or with the POTS installed.

Has this actually been done? If so what were/are the results and is the mod something anyone with a GX2 should consider?

You guys have the best GPU reviews of any site out there, especially on the overclocking front. Can't wait for some more leaked benches
