We think that the silver mica, polypropylene film, polysester film and OSCON capacitors are a nice touch, as are the RN60 Dale precision metal film resistors. Construction is great too, with effort put into grounding (friction tabs and potentiometer lug). The size and connectivity makes this unit versatile and we've tried - this little monster drives most headphones to ear-splitting levels.
