What are Bright Dots (non-performing dead pixels)?

LCD is made up of pixels and each pixel is made up of three sub-pixel color valves of red, blue and green. The valves in each color either impedes or transmits the light source and by adjusting the amount of light passed through, each pixel displays a distinctive color that ultimately makes up the images shown on the screen. A dead pixel refers to a pixel with a defect in its ability to display the correct color output. When the defective pixel remains permanently lit, it is known as a bright dot and bright dots appear as a white or colored spots (except black) against a black background.

*The original purchase invoice, including purchase receipt or other proof of purchase together with the Zero Bright Dot warranty card, must be presented at ASUS Singapore Service Centre in order to claim for a replacement (LCD panel).
